We had Makayla's 1st birthday 2 Saturdays ago on December 18th. Grandma Marg hosted it at her place. We had a great time and Makayla was spoiled rotten by all our friends and family. Thanks to everyone who shared this special event with us!
We have a photo overload so I have made it into an album for easy viewing. View Makayla's 1st Birthday here.

Happy Birthday baby girl!!!
Makayla 1 - 12 months
It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming Makayla into the world and holding her in our arms for the first time. Now she is a year old! Being a parent sure makes time go by at lightening speed.
It is amazing how much Makayla has grown and changed in a year. She started out at just over 5lbs and now weighs 17lb 5oz and is 29.25 inches long! She is walking, running, starting to talk, and learning to feed herself. She loves playing with other children, and getting into mischief!

Makayla today - 1 years old
We are so thankful to God to have Makayla in our lives. As some of you know the events surrounding her birth were difficult. I was induced 9 days early due to Makayla no longer growing. When she was born she was admitted to the nursery (NICU) for 5 days as she was born with low blood sugars and IUGR (Intra Uterine Growth Restriction). God has watched over her and we are blessed with a healthy and very active daughter!

And our family today
Makayla we are so proud to be your parents and we love you more than you'll ever know.
Happy 1st birthday little girl! We look forward to all the years to come!

We bought a new fancy shmancy toaster this week. It poaches and boils eggs as well as being a fully functioning toaster. It's an early Christmas present for Dave. He loves egg mcmuffin sandwiches. This way he can make one in under 5 minutes!New toaster in action The meat is heated on top while the eggs are poached underneath and the English muffin is toasting simultaneously
The finished product! Yum!
